Anne and Craig Anderson are experimenting with putting clear plastic over the corn bed and black plastic over the tomato bed, leaving an area uncovered in each for a “control” area. The purpose is to determine which is more effective in warming the soil, how much warmer each makes the soil and how beneficial both are.
