Jack Hamilton came to finish building the weed compost bin. He has the slats in and the frame for the cover in place. The actual cover should be delivered soon and the deed will be done. Then we will have a repository for the masses of weeds being gathered. Kathy Hawkins gathered weeds from the pumpkin patch. Suzanne Holland, Marcia Pauley, Rosemary, and Lois gathered from the back area. Julie Rhee removed weeds from the shade garden and Carol Reese weeded the entry area garden.
Speaking of compost, Tom Tucker brought in green food (otherwise known as “grass”) for the original compost bin. Then he spent some quality time chopping vegetation with his machete before adding it to the bin.
