The cover crops have been turned in all of the appropriate beds. Lots of strong arms and backs at work. Anne and Craig Anderson did multiple beds, Marcia Pauley, Julie Rhee and Dorene Fretwell joined in the chorus line and Jim Rodman got the prize—he uncovered a monster potato!! Said he thought it was from a planting in that bed 3 years ago!
The other covering which got our attention was the very thick pile of leaves which had accumulated under the shelter. Rosemary Long and Carol Reese raked and hauled until the area was cleared and the compost bin was full. Where did all of those leaves come from?
