Did we convince the rookies that Anna Smith was the best garden in which to work?

Perhaps some, and I hope so, but at least we let them know that we were delighted to have them join the ranks of Master Gardener, and would look forward to working with them in the future, no matter where.
After all the hard work we had tons of food—big crock pots of chili, rice and vegetable soup. We had cornbread, pasta salad, potato salad and tabouli salad. There were crackers, spreads, deviled eggs, sandwiches and wonderful bread. And the desserts---WOW! We had Blueberry cobbler (and Judith just better give us that recipe!), a variety of cookies and several cakes. A beautiful fruit basket served as centerpiece, filled with oranges, bananas and strawberries. Did I miss something? I am sure I did—but it was all wonderful. And of course the reliable Sharron Etheredge had a plentiful supply of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and bottled water. They seemed to enjoy what we had to offer –certainly no complaints—and licked the platters clean.
Hopefully they left feeling a part of the group and full! We went home knowing that their were some very enthusiastic and energetic gardeners about to join our ranks. Yahoo!!!!!!!!
