Getting Ready for the Open House

The deadheading and weeding team pushed through to get ready for the Open House this Saturday, August 11. Judith Martin and Kathy Hawkins took to the English bed, Rosemary Long tidied up the RR beds, Heather tended the Mediterranean bed and Donna collected seeds from the applauded columbine. Sharron Etheredge tended the roses and Ray Etheredge trimmed the Kiwi. Sharron’s fashionably dressed “pot lady” in the hopscotch bed will surely delight the children at next week’s class and at the Open House.

Tiffany Willfert staked several plants to highlight in the unusual bed and cut back calendula which added depth to the Black eyed Susan and peach nasturtiums. Providing a profusion of color in the annuals beds. An impressively large grass was removed from the grasses bed by Suzanne Holland and Julie Rhee did her magic in the shade garden. Tom Tucker and Carol Reese made their way around doing whatever else needed to be done.
