Native Bleeding Heart

Tiffany Willfert has started planning and preparing the annuals beds and the whimsy bed and Judith Martin has made great progress on weeding and cutting back in the English garden. Carol Johnson came to put the “hens and chicks” to bed.
Jim Rodman pruned and fertilized the raspberries, then went on to weed the waterwise plot. Looks like we may have to remove some of those overachiever plants. John Mikesell found a lot to clear away on the native plant path before the good weather makes it a very popular destination. Speaking of natives, if anyone cleaning an area finds native bleeding heart—Dicentra--in a place where it is not welcome, let me know where it is. We have a person who is more than willing to come and dig it up for us!
