A Mole With A Tamale

It is puzzlement. Why would someone leave shucked ears of corn just lying on the ground? And where were the corn husks? Now my theory is that whoever did this is either using the husks for wrapping tamales, or smoking the corn silk. With the cost of cigarettes, the latter kind of makes sense. But if you see a mole with a tamale in one hand and a corn silk cigarette in the other, chances are you will be looking at the culprit. But the “string fence” that Kathy Hawkins and Jim Rodman put up around some stalks last week did seem to keep the varmints away from those particular stalks. Go figure.
